Description
This is a pure LightWave 3D 7.5 rendering, except for titles made with Corel Photo Paint 8. The mountain is generated by a procedural displacement map. There is one distant light (the Sun) with Backdrop Only Radiosity activated (1x3 rays). The five alpinists are created by LightWave modeler. The sky is made with SkyTracer 2 and the single darker cloud is an HyperVoxel 3. No presets were used to make this image: models, materials and ambient are by me.
Render time: 4 hours 10 minutes 7 seconds on a Athlon XP @1617 Mhz with 1 Gb RAM.

Excellent modelling and textures, great image! There's something a little awkward about some of the shadows, though, in the long white pass. Also, try anti-aliasing a little more (hmmm... another 20 hours to the render - yay.)
