Description
At first view, it seemed the city was as high as it was broad, a cube set foursquare on a vast plain. Closer inspection revealed that like an atomic structure, with its surrounding energy levels, the city was more compact than its grid-like array of illuminated skytraffic patterns suggested. Yet each massive tower reached higher then the next into the heavens as Nu Jeru thrust itself up from the ancient plain like a fist stretched on high in an exquisitely hostile environment.
