Description

We lost our sweet German Shepherd, Ginny Lee, about a month ago. She was not quite 15, and started going down quickly. One morning I got a call from Marcos saying she could no longer get up. I got in my car and drover down right away. Later that afternoon we buried her. It was so hard and so sad. She lived a long, wonderful, happy life, but it's still such a big loss. Now, a few weeks later, it's a bit easier and Marcos is talking about getting another dog. Having been through the same thing with other dogs, it's something you know will happen, but are never prepared for. Anyone who's had pets know just what I mean. They find a way into our hearts before we know it.

Always sad when they die, but there are so many needing a good home that will help to fill the space.

Condolences to the both of you; it hurts so much when they go on without us. She looks like a real sweetie!

What a beautiful picture of Ginny. She was a gorgeous dog, and I know you're both missing her like crazy. Call me and let me know when Marcos picks something out! :)

Sorry Marilyn, I never saw this. (The notifications or Activity Feed either didn't list it, or I lost it in the site-mess at that time. So sorry I missed it.) I'm terribly sorry for your and Marcos' loss. And to bury him yourselves just brings it home to the bone, to the heart, it's so powerful and basic. I know what it's like to lose a dog, they're family, they're like siblings and children all wrapped into one; and when one dies it's like losing a piece of oneself. Also, they're so very loyal, so 'there' and always loving no matter what we do...so to lose a beloved dog is like losing purity itself. I'm very sorry for your loss, but apparently you both are about to get a new dog---straight from Deutschland!---and I hope she's a joy and lives a long wonderful life with you two. (It's a beautiful photo too.) Very sorry for your loss, but may you have many wonderful years ahead with your new dog...

Sorry for your loss :( , I've lost my beloved little dog too (about 6 months ago) and I'm still not used to her absence, so I know how it is.
