Description

As always, best viewed full size! Hee, hee, Master say this good job for old thief like me! Hee, hee, Master say, easy job. Go to temple of Goddess and climb stairs. Master say, at top of stairs is golden chalice. Chalice full of magic wine! Yeeea, veeeery powerful stuff, this wine, he say. But what about guards?, Old Golum ask. Master say, totally safe. Temple guarded by only one woman and she be a crazy one. At night, she sleep. Only rats run around temple at night. She trust her rats to wake her up. Totally nuts huh? Rat's not care about guarding Goddess's magic wine! Ok, sound good, no worries. Old Golum go steal wine for master. Bring back, yea? Big reward! Lotsa loot! Ooh, ooh, ooh, this almost too easy work for smart old thief like Old Golum! Life good. Old Golum, he climb stairs, he find golden chalice, no problem! So..... wonder what magic wine taste like? But Master say, don't stop, just grab chalice and run. Ha! Master must think Old Golum old fool too for not take taste magic wine! Master will not know if Old Golum taste wine. Beside, Old Golum thirsty after long walk to temple and climb up stairs. Golum stop for drink now. No worries, Old Golum too smart to be caught by crazy broad guard! Just one quick sip and Old Golum, he be gone! Just warming up my story telling muscles. This is my second attempt and first posting using Render Passes, where you render in multiple "layers" so as to create what is basically a multi-layered RAW image that you can better manipulate in Photo Shop. Also includes post render control over depth of field. Learned it from the Sixus 1 tutorial, which I have to admit is a bit of a bear to follow, but produces some amazing results. Especially more vivid colors, detailing and DoF control. Pixeluna's Alondra from RDNA

Wow! That must be some wine! Beautiful work. Your methods have produced a detailed action scene with some really nice depth and no clutter. The figures came out excellent and the grunge looks great. Looks like Gollum should have had a little more forethought.

A nice surprise to find a story! Its a great read - the story peaks your interest right at the beginning and keeps building. The image is very well done with great characters and is very complete with many interesting objects. I like how Old Golum is ready to swing his bone club. Looking forward to more!

Indeed..... What could possibly go wrong?? OWWWWWWW I'm no doctor, but that HAD to hurt! Freaking awesome work on this scene, Roxy! Great action and expression on both Alondra and Old Golum - and even the rat! Chock full of fun details as always - you never disappoint, my friend! :-D And YEAAAA - flex those storytelling muscles.... We await the result! That's something I really need to look into - render passes, I mean, not stealing magic wine.... Wit the sometimes complex renders I like to play with, it could be very interesting. Was that the tutorial from over at YUR? I've been thinking about grabbing that..
