You should use something a bit softer than a 2h. The scan comes out light as it is, and it's not easy to do artistic work with a hard pencil lead. Leave the "h" series to architects and engineers; you should use HB or softer. Believe me, it helps.

this is only a basic sketch. I kinda preferhard pencils and softer lines. As you an see in the Inuyahsa Pic i use pencils 8B through 6H. Gives better values I think.
