Description

Just an update. I had to find a replacement for the Lythian character, so I used HFS Shapes with Genesis to create one that was as close as possible. It gives me so much more flexibility since I can now use all my Genesis, M4, V4, G2F and G2M clothing and props. The uniform is Courageous for V4 with my custom uniform texture. I tried Defiant for Genesis, but wasn't happy with it and Valiant didn't do it for me either. The logo pin is a custom model by me. I think it still needs some work though.

Difficult. Your original scene is really excellent (better without the drone). The piece worked better for me because the white uniform did bring more attention to the Lythian, and the height was more impressive, with a concern in the Lythian expression + the eyes contact between both protagonists, which does not seem to be the case now anymore. I agree the uniform is better, but I'm not convinced it suits this scene and lightning better than the previous one. Anyway, if you re-render, I would have a look at the Major pose on the left, which looks just a bit out of a choreography, less natural. Nitpicking because the scene is worth it!

The Major Cache character seemed to have issues with posing. I probably spent more time on that one that the rest. Not sure why it had so many issues. The feet especially were problematic. I may not be able to use this armor set going forward with the project. As for the Lythian, it came down to a logistics issue. The previous model wasn't usable going forward, so I had to create a new 'Lythian' version using Genesis. That compounded the uniform issue because I only had the SpaceCorps Uniform done, not the Lythian's natural uniform. The previous uniform was a skin that I couldn't use as the model wasn't compatible, although I did try. The pose was the last part since the pose was specific to the older model. I did move the eyes to approximate looking at the engineer, but for some reason, Daz Studio was slowing down to a crawl with the scene, making it difficult to keep working with it. I even closed Daz Studio and re-opened it a couple of times, even cleaning the memory cache on my Mac to try and help. Even with a lot of memory still available, it became frustrating to continue. With more time I'd probably make the pose closer to the original, but I needed to move on to other portions of the project.

Oh... and thank you for the critique. I do appreciate it very much. I'm trying to be a bit more of a perfectionist, but this scene did test that. If you look at the ambassador on the right, her outfit just does not look natural with her walk. Tons of collision going on without much control to the outfit. I was able to tweak some stuff, but that was also a very frustrating exercise.
