Oh...she got THAT letter....such bad news, and you wisely leave us wondering what it is....I'm going to go with her rotten, philandering husband of twenty years has left her for the waitress at the local diner....(otherwise, too many sad, sad possibilities come to mind). That's probably news she will come to appreciate after he's gone...LOL PS You keep us going, too.

Thanks for recommending we go listen to song. They reminded me for a moment of Ian and Sylvia, and that floated me way way back to forgotten times when Peter Paul and Mary headed the folk scene, just before Dylan changed all that. More than 20 years ago though. Like it were yesterday nevertheless. The incomprehensibleness of decades passing both in a flash and taking forever. I see something like that in her demeanor.
