A row of arched doors, maybe windows (they look like doors to me, but I could be wrong!). Gothic arches, wrought iron fencings, with black shadows behind... But then---whoosh: You've sunken them into this immensely active wall of stone, mixed with heavy papers. Like heavy watercolor papers. And all those textures and hues. The beige and green-beige is shot-through with deep greens and reds and oranges. And you've places the stone background both in front of the arches and behind them. And---again: I see your lines and little colonies of living creatures, like birds living in trees...You've taken a very architectural image---those doors or windows, moving back in space---and sunken them into another of your organic stone surfaces; and the two worlds combine beautifully. Deep shadows too. Just wonderful, Emilio.
