This image is really good. A great candidate for b/w filtering... oh, oh I just noticed the cones. Nice touch!

Good job on the selective coloring! I would play with contrast and levels in Photoshop and get a little more drama in the b&w. All your values are pretty close to the same range, which makes it look kind of dull gray. To my eye, it needs more definition. Brighter whites, darker shadows. Compositionally this is very good. Your ratio of buildings to sky, the visual division of space, is terrific. I would like to see more space between the people's feet and the bottom of the shot, though. They look crowded, and that one guy's feet are cut off. I realize that you can't go back and get this shot again -- that's just information for future shutter clicks. :P To me, the most fascinating thing about the image is that group of people ... all looking in the same direction at something we can't see! VERY nice! It makes me wonder why you chose the cones for your selective coloring. It's the people that make the shot for me. People don't walk around with their heads turned that way without a very good reason. They've clearly seen something that immediately captured their attention, even while they were still moving. THAT is the drama and the tension in the shot! If it were my image I would crop off a little bit of the top and the left-hand side, just to bring it in a little closer, and I would color-pop the people instead of the cones. I hope this is the sort of information you're looking for! If I didn't think this had the potential to be a top-drawer shot, I wouldn't have said anything at all.

I pretty much agree with auntiek on the selective coloring, but it is still a pretty nice shot. That guy on the left is expecting a flood.
