Description

I started this scene to try out two Vertical Living sets from DAZ. I was thinking dystopian future, which led me to something out of Bladerunner. The result is still built on the Vertical Living elements but I do think they’re a little too industrial or steam punk for this theme Now they serve only as a background enhanced by signage elements pulled from Urban Future 3 from DAZ. The center of the scene is Sean Patrick Kennedy’s lovely LAPD spinner, available at www.scifi3d.theforce.net. Per the credit agreement in the ZIP: “BladeRunner TM & Copyright 2007 Warner Bros. Entertainment”. (The model is also available at the Foundation3D web site, along with an updated version.) To support the theme I added an electric billboard on the far wall and a striking facsimile of the iconic “Off World Colonies” advertising blimp, both by Sean Kennedy and available at Foundation3D. There’s also a small reference to Twelve Monkeys, which portrayed another dystopian future. The three people who are focus of the image represent three important characters in Bladerunner. I’ve made no attempt to match the faces, but some of the clothing has the right look to make them recognizable. Some mesh elements were bashed with UVMapper Pro and Poser File Editor to separate or extract part and adjust maps. The scene was built and rendered in Poser 7 and composited in Corel PhotoPaint. The rain effect was added in PhotoShop. I named the image for a minor theme in the image, added for atmosphere. In the world of the animals, the people and hover car are the fillers. Other credits: The driver is M2 wearing the Sci-Fi Suit from DAZ and Gwynplaine’s Flying Helmet and 3-d-c’s Headset, both for V4. The man is M3 with Wedgecut Hair, 3-Piece Suit, and the C.I.S. trench coat, all from DAZ. The girl is Ceridwen’s Mira for V4, with Cece hair, Edwardian Suit, and Hooded Cloak from DAZ. The pigeons are from the Songbird Remix 2 and Zoe, as always, is the Millennium Cat, both from DAZ.

While this shows more clearly the ammount of care and detail you put into this I would have to say I like the "enhanced" version quite a bit better. I certainly can appreciate the time you spent putting all of the elements together for this... but that's half the fun, right?
