Description
I mentioned in the last render that I liked the outfit on the soldier, but I wish there was a way to sexy it up a little. I tried removing pieces and what not just to show a little skin, but it always ended up looking like a skinny guy with some big pieces of metal stuck on him. Didn't work.
I thought about making some of the pieces transparent, but that was too much trouble too fool with - then Radar Rad Dude suggested something along the same lines, so I figured I'd bite the bullet and give it a try.
I still don't know enough about math nodes in Poser to give the semi-transparent pieces a nice glow (like Aery Soul's BioFlow pieces), but here's what I ended up with.
Some of the pieces had an underlying layer of stuff, which gives it a nice effect when the outer layers was made 70% transparent. On the groin part, there was no inner layer. Looked weird when I tried transparency on it so I just left that one alone. Sorry. No sci-fi dingle-dangles on this one.

This is great! I love sexed up futuristic soldiers. My only complaint is that his torso looks oddly bent in places, almost snake-like. It doesn't look natural, but everything else is very well done!
