Description

1st off I need help I have no idea how to work with lights in DAZ Studio, hence no shadows. This image kept on crashing in poser so I took a shot at it in Daz, I don't know much about Daz, so any tidbit is welcomed, especially how to get the setting in the lights right cause I loaded a light set from Azraella package but I just know it's not right. Help Please... Thanx 4 Watching... PS Thanx 4 all he comments and faves on my previous images...

If new to Daz maybe better if you start off with one distant light. I like where you can just click on the light and move it around. Using Daz I find Poser so confusing... I'm sure Dr Carl will steer you in the right direction..

Okay this image looks great except for one thing...the fire at girlfriend's feet. So I am gonna give you my old friend a gift...The gift of FIRE!!! As for the light...have you seen my stuff? Here's what you do: Spotlight's: are for directing light at a specific point. They have a cone shape that can be adjusted. Distant light's: are for illuminating the whole room/area creating shadows: SAelect your light source (usually your brightest) and go to the "Parameters" tab. If you don't have it go to the you upper menu bar and select "VIEW/tabs/paraneters". Scroll down the parameters until you see "Shadows' then select a type. You have 2 choices "raytraced and Deep shadow map" I don't know the difference but Raytrace seems to work best. Also in the paremeters you ca select light color intensity and directions you obviously have figured out how to turn the camera so you know how to turn pretty much everything. Remember you may need several lights to really get a good image (usually 4-6) make sure only your MAIN light (or your spotlights) is creating shadows or you will get some real issues. A good tip is to parent all of your lights to a .0001 sized sphere (Create primitive menu) The Best tabs to have are as follows. Content, Scene, Parameters, Surfaces, I also use Render and Lightdome. All of these are grouped together left to right and pushed to left of my screen. I have found that these (the first four anyway) are the most used. Good luck bro and if you have anymore questions just site mail me. P.S. Here's where you can find my fire for free (well it's not actually mine I just use it allot) Go to http://www.most-digital-creations.com/poser_daz_studio_all_products.htm and look for HELLFIRE!! it's the one I used for my Ghostrider image.
