Description

This shows the first encounter between Francesco and Fabrizio. There's a little more postwork than on the images I've been uploading here - I want something slightly more like a typical illustration and less "clean". Besides, I can't do full justice to Francesco's smoking habit without postwork :-) Thanks guys. Leander

Oh, I LOVE this!! Gah, Fabrizio's shirt is SO very nice! and of course your characters are ever so handsome. The way they seem to have their pipes with them reminds me of Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. Always tucked away, but easy to get to. Love the smoke and atmosphere to this one!!! Beautiful as always!

really enjoying the smoky atmosphere and textures here--your strong suit is how well you tell your story with your comp--expressions, light setting--very much movie like--terrific all the way around.

I think everyone got there before me with the comments. There are some people who think that post-work is an admission of defeat in a CG render, I am glad to see you are not one of them. More "less clean" pictures please.... Gary

Post work, to me, is part of how CG should be done. They do it in movies using other programs and such-why not artists? Isn't that part of being one? I love this-the atmosphere and 'less clean' makes this one almost like a movie still. Fantastic work.

There is so much mood in this image. Definitely the postwork adds to the atmosphere. Love those pipe props.

Great atmosphere, and the post work so amazing, giving it an old Masters look. I bookmarked the site. Wonderful first chapter and I'm looking forward to more. :)

~I like the smoky atmosphere! Postwork, to me, is as much fun as putting together the render....and certainly affords more opportunities to tweak the atmosphere!~
