First post of the New Year! Okay, so it was supposed to be my last post of last year, but I'm lazy and on holiday. :lol: Sort of a follow up to my last one with this character 'The Tiger's Gaze', in a way. This one is when he's a bit older (as you can tell by the grey/white wisps at his temples and a few extra lines on his face). When Tora gets stressed (which is pretty easy for an assassin) or feels like he needs to refocus himself, he comes to the dojo and runs through his forms. As is befitting of his name, he's a practitioner of the tiger form (kung fu) and what he's about to follow through with is a defining characteristic of this form - the 'claw', which is a rather nasty palm strike. As he practices, his body takes over and his mind is released � it's not exactly zen, but it's as close as Tora gets to feeling 'free'. This image took longer to complete for a few reasons - it was my first attempt with using dynamic clothing (Poser), which took a little bit to figure out, as well as a bit of the Poser cloth room for the towels (laid over the bench behind him). It wasn't that hard and I'm quite pleased with the results! Also, and this took the better part of the time, this was the first time I had drawn this much of his irezumi (body tattoo). I'm quite happy with it too, despite the pain in the butt that it was to lay out. One day I'll show you guys the full design on the back... but not right now. That could take a while to draw!
