Description

Taken with a Holga WPC (wide-angle pinhole camera). Shot on Ilford FP4, developed at home and scanned with a Epson v600. The aperture of the pinhole is around f/133 so this was an exposure in desert sunlight for around 5-7 seconds (i cant remember exactly what i did for this photo)... Unfortunately, i was only just getting used to the camera and this is a severe crop of a scene i am yet to be able to process the digital version of (it had to be taken as multiples to stitch later into a panorama - i just havent got round to the fiddly bit yet). It is a crop because almost half of the left hand side was blown because the back fell off the camera shortly after i took this shot and exposed the film by mistake. You can see the mark left by the printed symbols on the film back in the top left which i decided to keep in frame. Sometimes it is the mistakes which make a photo interesting... Enjoy! Rich

Well, I'm thinking that at least you can see them in plenty of time, seeing that the land looks rather barren, LOL! And who isn't going to brake for an animal THAT big? Interesting shot!

I think I understand why you're doing what you're doing here, & admire your enthusiasm. I hope you've learned from and enjoyed your experiences. I suppose if you wanted to go one step further you could make the developing chemicals yourself, though I think there are hidden dangers in that (worse than sudden camels!). I like your composition here. Best regards, Steve.
