Description
This is my rendering for a book cover at university mainz / germany.
What I was looking for was a realistic impression, but because the exhibition inside the book is only virtual, the look should also transport an illustrative feel, so I didn't work out details so much.
I used my new copy of carrara 8 pro, which is faster than carrara 7. It's originally a panorama view that will be printed all around the book. Render time is about 6 hours for 4245x2000 pixels. I used HDRI sky and indirect lightning.
