Description
Captured 11/6/09, early in the morning, from various and sundry spots around town.
Postwork involved neat and tidy stuff; no distortion or digifiddling applied.
My taillight shots through 11/11/09, the last day of such subject matter, total 322. The number of headlight captures total 234 over the same period, making a grand total of 556 pics between the two. Admittedly, several are repeats from different cars of the same model.
This ninja activity has not come without incident.
On November 11, as I was striding past the Greyhound bus parking lot, an elderly gent got out of his car, approached me, said he had seen me walking every morning, and then asked why I had photographed his license plate the previous week, and wondered if he had done anything wrong. Although somewhat taken aback, I instantly replied, pshaw!, not to worry, that I had merely snapped his taillight...it's what I do...which really brought a startled expression to his face. To help allay his fears, I had to go through the whole song and dance about Renderosity and my belonging to a website that featured this sort of bizarre and aberrant behavior, etc. To sum it up, he was greatly relieved after the explanation and returned to his car. I continued walking home, wondering if I shouldn't have made up some cock and bull story about me seeing him make an illegal U-turn through a red light, or something to that effect, and then reporting it to the proper authorities. But, as you know, I'm much too nice a guy to do that.
I can imagine the comments from viewers saying I should have said this or done that concerning this episode, but I think I carried it off pretty well. At least the fellow can sleep without anxiety.
Anyway, the moral of this story is that ninja photography isn't the lah-de-da pastime one might think it is. I do lead a hazardous life.
Toodles, and thankx for popping in.

Ninja photography can get you into some odd predicaments for sure. Sounds like you handled this one well. In a situation like this...I couldn't say just what would do...more than likely it would depend on how my over all day was going. Nice captures!

I can identify several BMWs and a couple of Lexus and a couple of unidentified rolling objects (UROs). Nicely handled photographically as usual. But you've proved your veracity to the utmost by your handling of the spy who had you under covert surveillance:)

Nice array of designs here, be careful out there with that deadly weapon you're carrying!

Glad you sticked to the nice story Harry but I have to say the old guy must be guilty to think of staright away something bad he did. Great red collage put together here as your trade mark. I am sure Andrea will be happy for it.

Strange how cameras can often scare people more than guns do! Lovely collage of images Harry! :)

Three hundred and twenty-two shots, Harry? Good grief, it's not surprising you finally got 'caught'!! These are interesting, the 4th down looks like a display cage for rehomable dogs.

I would love to have seen his expression when you told him your consuming interest was in his taillight! Excellent collage!
