The steam on the mug made by mapping a cload texture on a group of Metaballs
The slice of bread was scanned off an actual slice and converted to a mesh.
All textures accept the mug, liquid and steam are photgraphic

I tinker in Bryce at a very basic level, enough however to recognize that this is exceptional work! Brilliant construction of a simple yet emotional scene with nice attention to detail and selection of light. Thank you for the obvious hard work in creating a beautiful render.
