Description

This is the bloom, of the pod, that I posted two days ago. I've always called it Queen Anne's Lace but thanks to Ronnie (PD154)it is also known as Wild Carrot (Daucus carota). Don't you just love how we learn something new everyday at RR. Thanks for stopping by, taking a peak and for all your previous comments and favs. Dana

Pleasure to help our Dana, I only learned that myself from two sources, wikipedia, and my sweetheart who told me what it was :)...Oh well like you said my friend we all learn around here, it's a great place to further ones skills and knowledge, great shot of the pod opening here, it is a pretty flower isn't it!

When we were kids, we'd take these beautiful flowers, split the stem, put one side in blue dye colored water and the other in red (or what ever colors we fancied) and let the flower turn colors by drinking the colored water...was real fun...my kids still enjoy doing this also.

I understand how they can both look so similar. I have mixed them up from time to time. Its only in the more mature bloom that I can see the difference. Stunning shot, Dana! I love the head-on capture that gets all the delicate details.

Whatever it is called, I call it beautiful. Wonderful shot. The beautiful white contrasted with the green is superb.

Like the off white of the unopened flowers against the pure white opened flowers. The are pretty, but not much in the scent department.
