Just as Kuronushi was about to cut down the cherry tree, the tree's spirit appeared before him as an enchanting courtesan named Kurozome.
Based on The Spirit of the Komachi Cherry Tree by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, from the Thirty-six Ghosts series.
