Description

These two are two quick renders we did as a proposal for a cafeteria which had to be located at the new cinepolis headquarters in Morelia Mexico. I guess sometimes the power of an image does not come from the prefect use of a rendering program, most of the times proportion and composition are way more important in terms of visual impact than spending countless hours modeling details and assigning the proper light values. We modeled, rendered and post-edited 6 different images for this same project in less than six hours using the same method: basic rendering using 3DSMax Mental Ray, we rendered the same views using only ambient occlusion. (default scanline) the rest was all photoshop. Thank you for stepping by! -J

I love these architectural renders. I plan on getting into this one day once my 3DS Max skills are at an appropriate level and I actually understand something about architecture lol.

Thanks for stepping by Lornix. To tell you the truth I didn’t had a computer at home when I was studying architecture… I guess architecture is all about logic and learning the craft, so go ahead! Some of the best architects in history didn’t even study architecture.

To quote F L Wright, "form follows function" and your render and idea certainly qualify.
