Hi all, new work...terrain by united power of Geocontrol and Worldmachine. Not completely satisfied with this one...but decided to leave it like this after lots of fiddling :) (hence the title :) Btw those rocks go that greenish tint from atmo...another thing I coudn't get right.
Any comments how to improve this would be great...and thanx a lot for looking.

I like this. Uncomplicated looking but effective nonetheless. I especially like the rock surfaces. They really contribute to a great sense of scale...If you think you're lost, at least you are definitely headed in the right direction. Nice work!
Wow, amazing! I love the terrain work and the trails behind the lost ones.
wow, i can see you've kept it simple in the end impressive
An astonishing sense of huge scale here. The tiny figures with their tracks in the sand I think are what pulls it all together.
Super terrain work, excellent sense of scale in this picture.
Excellent image! Well done.
The sense of scale works very well here, the rocks are very nice
Great composition. I have to admit that the green texture doesn't fit so much in such a dry desert !
that's good, but could be fantastic: as folk say aye, the green rocks don't go. if you could use the Geocontrol image to make a mixed material distribution map then you coudl have rocks and sand more neatly defined for material placement and maybe use a displacemnt rock material for extrea realism (if your system can handle the poly count from dispalcement). it could be outstanding :)
like a lot!
Excellent!!!
Splendid scale effect, the tiny people there are really intriguing. Green color is judicious.
Looks awesome and rugged. Excellent work....
Excellent work.
You did great pic! EXT!
Excellent!
very cool! fantastic scale- kinda like the green on this one, adds a unique, odd feel to the atmosphere. Wouldn't do to have more of the same though.I used GC2 on my Mirror Lake image and didn't have a problem w/ applying materials. Have you seen the tutorial on Virtual Lands website, it's very good
Very nice! I love the impressive scale of this.
