Description
Chichen Itza, one of the largest cities of the Maya and Toltecs, was around 1000 AD scene of ritual ball games. In this game 2 teams tried to shoot a heavy rubber ball through a ring, 6 meters over the ground, using only their hips and shoulders. The ball should never touch the ground, because it represented the sun, making its way through the sky. The teams consisted mostly of local aristocrats, on the one side and prisoners of war on the other. The game often ended with the sacrifice of the team leader.
Today the Ruins of Chichen Itza belong to the Unesco World Heritage and are among the New 7 World Wonders.

Good work.
Wonderful lighting...
An excellent reconstruction, details, and action. Your hard work is appreciated, even more so because of time you take to make these historical images as accurate as possible. Well done.
