Encapsulated by day Anchored by light to stay Muzzled, Constrained, Restrained. They emerge from the stone At night when she's alone. 'Howl for me' She thinks 'I've long been mute' 'Howl for me' She begs 'Louder than I ever could. Fiercely, wildly, Rock shattering, Cloud bursting, Ears & hearts Bodies and souls Howl! Howl! Howl...' ----------------- This is my first attempt to go back to watercolor painting after a break of 16 months. I'm a bit rusty... The size of the original is 11x15 inch. it seems different to me than your previous works (more sketchy), but it doesn't look like you're rusty to me. perhaps you wanted it to be firmer? i especially like the thylacine that's closest to her. i always love your colors when you paint. they flow into and around each other in a way that's both turbulent and fluid. sort of a mixture of grace and agitation. and so many different colors. they blend very well here, which always amazes me. i hope you share more watercolors with us!
