Description
Created in TG2. I put lots of work into this one, but had a great time. I am really proud of the rocks, as this was hard to pull off properly.
Still more work to do, but this will do for now.

Great image. Fantastic and very realistic rocks. But not just the rock rocks, the rest of the image is fantastic too. Great lightning. One of the best TG2 images i've seen here for a long time.
Near perfection. It has smog and everything (just kidding). The clouds and lighting are very good. The terrain is magnificent and the foliage beautiful. It really is one of your best, which seems to be a habit with you lately. GOOD WORK!!

I have to agree with calico1, above. This is about as good as it gets - and this is very good, indeed. I'd be interested to know what the render time was?
Many thanks for the comments. The render times were in the 65 hour range, as I had to render it in sections on a PC that kept crashing. This of course is very inefficient. On a dedicated PC, it would likely have taken 35 hours or so, maybe less. Another reason it took so long was due to the custom GI model I am using. Its very computationally intensive.

Given those render times I'm glad it all worked out so well. Scene is beautifully composed, excellent rock texture, and great mist and clouds. Top quality.

Yes, I was partially inspired by King's Canyon, just north of Isabella. I love that area.

Amazing atmosphere and rocks. Hadn't seen anything so exciting in the TG gallery for a very long while.
You should be dern proud of those rocks!!! This is how TG2 should be used - to create intricate terrain features 1st. But the object placements + lighting is spectacular! All came together well here.
