Description
Please take the time to interpret my poem. I have left hints that will help you figure out the meaning. Let me know what you think, thanks. I am new here btw.
This shallow orchid field.
Once this field was peaceful rolling hills of grass,
Now *converted by the orchids’ pass.
With their beauty they spread their pollen,
And soon the hills had fallen.
Fallen to prey of Mass pollination,
The hills have lost their isolation.
Onlookers see the pretty flowers,
Yet they miss the simplicity of the grass’s hours.
Now past are those hours of solitude,
Alas, the Orchids obtrude.
The hills they did steal,
What remains is the orchids’ appeal.

From this perspective, solitude is beautiful, for if one can be alone and happy, this person is free, and knows love. For those people whom have not realized where love begins. The search continues the thoughts spread creating more of the same…shallow beauty…metaphoric – "This shallow orchid field". (Nice poem, and thanks for the fun.)
