This is just a pigeon,as you can see and maybe you or someone has seen this color and markings before but not I so I decided to take a picture of him cause he looked different: thanks for commenting and enjoying my beach pictures in previous uploads hope I didnt bore you with too any of the same: have a great and productive day or evening: hugs ))

I've never seen those markings or colors on a pidgeon but it sure looks like a pidgeon to me....I'll be interested in seeing what others think....glad you shared it Evie...hugzzzzz.

beautiful shot Evie as usual. I love the pigeon it's a lovely color. I hand fed a pigeon and gave it to my daughter years ago He lived to a ripe old age. His name was Mr. Cool because of the sounds he made. She said it sounded like he was saying Cool! cool! cool!. He trilled and cooed all the time and when out on the floor he loved TOES! You really had to watch out if you had your shoes off! He was chocolate and white with a turned up collar of feathers. Her best friend referred to him as "the chicken".

MY first thought was someones pet got our or it was let go, then I thought albino, so then when to check out whether or not there are albino pigeons. Didn't find any, what this does look like a close relative of is the passenger pigeon. There are so many species of them. Some are very exotic. I agree with Rodolfo, you had great sense of the opportunity. He/she is strikingly beautiful. Michelle
