Description

Each individual tile is modeled and then has a noise deformer applied to it to give actual surface texture. Each individual tile is over 18,000 polygons lol leaving this scene with approximately 1.75 million poly's. I created the texture for the tiles from a leather texture to attempt to create this look. I also created the concrete/grout texture with procedurals. Rendered in Cinema 4D with VRay. Plant is from XFrog, planter is made using ZBrush then "booleaned" within C4D. I wanted to share this one as many people commented on my last upload about the grout in the tile when the tile used in the last scene was not what the whole scene was about - but the environmental reflections in the chrome material - as a test.

Very nice result - excellent realism. I like those long shadows too, and the grout.

Nice. 18,000 polys per tile?!?! Far too many. ;)
