Description

A pantsuit that Hilary Clinton probably wouldn't wear in public. I tried to imagine an outfit that is at once very sexy but not too revealing, and that looks very comfortable to wear. This is what evolved. Clothing was modeled from scratch in Cinema 4D, simulated as dynamic with Maxon's Clothilde plugin. 14359 polygons, procedural textures. Character is DAZ V4 untextured, imported via Kuroyume0161's interPoser Pro. Rendered in Cinema's Advanced Render module, two area lights, area shadows, GI. No postwork except a very small bit of blur; some GI artifacts are visible but I didn't bother to fix them. I really wanted to pass this around as a Poser freebie but unfortunately the model is just way too heavy for Poser's cloth room - I let the simulation run for an hour and it didn't even calculate one frame. Cinema ran the whole simulation in about 15 minutes. It would look terrible rigged, so I guess I'll just file this one away. If there is any interest in making this suit available for Cinema let me know and I'll pop it into a scene file or some such. Enjoy, comments welcome. Update: the Cinema4D R10.5 scene file containing this piece of clothing can be downloaded from my freebies page. The MOCCA/Clothilde module is required; various work in progress versions of the model are also included for the curious. See readme for details.

Nice design, to bad it doesnt work in poser. Also the lighting just goes to show how much behind poser is when an untextured model looks almost as good as a fully textured one in poser.

A very interesting (and sexy) suit! What a pity that it won't work in Poser...

Nice work and glad it will not work in Poser.. I enjoy rarities these days! Hope you elaborate with a few more renders. Sure the experience will pay off later with new clothing pieces..

That is stunning! It would be awesome if you could release the Cinema scene file, I'd love to see how you modelled it, and how you got the cloth to drape so well.
