I like the tension in her hand pose - it really conveys that something is about to happen

Yes, the blue does very well with the light, and I like the depth by the shadow of her left hand on her thigh. I also like the pose of face and hands. The shade around the hands contributes to the atmosphere, but in reality the sleeves would lie upon the wrists. Or the sleeves would be caught by the wind (or quick motion) suggested by the swaying dress. I can't identify the object that lets her left foot shine through.
