Description

I wish to take no credit for this photo, I did some slight postwork but that is all. The photographer is unknown, I came by this through a friend who had a mate serving in Iraq who took this and other photos, I wish I knew who he is, as this is just an amazing shot! I am posting this today as it is ANZAC Day here, for the rememberence of fallen soldiers who served in WW1 and gave their lives at Gallipoli in 1915 fighting the Turks on the shores. I also post it for all the service men/women who still are serving their countries now, may they stay safe and all return home soon.

What a mood and a story it tells! One many of us can relate to on a level where words do not always do justice.

Not only the Unknown Soldier, the unknown photographer as well, whoever took it Sue it is a great image and you use it for a good cause. My grandfather fought in the 1914-1918 war and my father in the second WW. A very fitting image and poem for this tribute. Bravo!!!!!
