Description

In 2 1/2 hours here it will be Valentines Day. The day for lovers to show their affections to one another...I thinking roses and things in small packages are a great gift, but I would settle for a nice dinner and a big hug after work at 9pm!

I am not a valentine person myself and neither is Pauline, but this is a beautiful image Sue and it looks like it belongs on a card with a big box of chocolates to go with it. Excellent capture, composition, presentation and sentiment. Bravo!!!!!

Knowing an actual gift, flowers or attendance at some event is totally out of the question (and always has been), I think if I could ask for something within reach, I'd ask for someone to cook me dinner and maybe even fix me something to drink to go with it. Just that one kindness would make VD day something to look forward to. Instead, I have a house guest... phooey.

Roses like this one are beautiful any time, but yeah, a nice dinner cooked by someone else, a glass of wine, comfy jammies, warm fire, a good movie on TV, and my sweetie to snuggle with. That's my idea of Valentine's Day.
