Description

This image is somewhat based on fiction and a true story. There's a PS2 game called "Fatal Frame" in the US and "Project Zero" in Japan, which is loosely based on events that happened in ancient Japan where (basically) a psychotic man created his own religion which required tearing the limbs off of the victims with 5 ropes. The game and the legend has it that the mansion where it all occured is still haunted by those sacrificed long ago, and that people sometimes hear the sound of ropes dragging on the floor when visiting the mansion. I tried to make her look like a ghost, but when she was transparent it didn't look right because of the background. If you are curious about this, check out this website: http://www.fatalframegame.com Any comments are appreciated... don't worry about making her look like a ghost I think you captured the essence of the game and the story very well.

Actually.. she looks scarier as is. I don't think to make her looking like a wandering spirit you neccesseraly need to make her transparant at all. The image that you created is very haunting as it is.

I liked the thumb even before I read what this was about. Now I'm even more intrigued, great work and BW choice gives it more impact.

Hey, my friend. Long time no see... I am so pleased to see your new nice work again. You put the focus on the distance to tell us something about some guys coming from. Good idea! Well, you made a good atmosphere.

Ok you know she creeps me out enough, from watching you play that game! You did a great job at reproducing her effect of spookiness! Excellent job on blending her with the background, and giving it that perfect atmosphere.

SPOOKY! that was ONE hell of a script! No I think you have just done a great ojb on having her opaque and not translucent or anything. One idea though is that you could have her feeat fading off instead(?) I believe you have REALLY caught the atmosphere. Good work here Raven.
