Description

Hi! Thanks for stopping by once again. "Still Life With Mushrooms" is about a year old, and I was suprised to find that I had not posted it here yet. So here it is :) Most of the props are from Medieval Marketplace or Medieval Tavern, both by Faveral and available at DAZ. Mushrooms are from the Traveller's Naturals series at RDNA. DAZ|Studio render. Multiple diffuse, specular and shadow passes for each of three lights, plus an ambient occlusion pass were composited in Photoshop to produce the painterly effect. This would be a lot easier to do today as I would simply use uberspots with the shadow intensity turned down and a gel on the key light. ************************ Thanks once again to everyone who has taken the time to comment and fav earlier images and most especially to the folks at DAZ Artist's Guild, who have been very supportive. Love the subtle coloring of this one and the realism. One of those images that the mind doesn't say "digital art". It's just art.

The realism on this is stunning. The image is so crisp, and so beautifully lit. The dark lighting and composition remind me a little bit of the Flemish school of painting. I agree with frogdot, this is art. Period.
