Description
A REASON
Tender in my soul your reason,
To breathe another day without confusion,
And conceal the rebellion of my doubts,
Within the sane creases of my pillows.
Men must cry, to discover freedom,
While women need a heart in peril.
Why is then humankind so focused,
On the rusted rises of distinction.
Come and save me from these papers,
That entice my pen to draw the truth,
‘Cause my life is at most imperfect,
And clarity was meant for other books.
Shut the days before I fall needless,
On the common wires of the selfish,
At the door of saints without redemption,
And the halted consequence of justice.
But, if I should go without a promise,
Paint within my soul a reason.
So that angels know the power of a dream,
Or call upon my senses, to be me.
