Description

At the Royal show here in Perth, everytime I turned around, there was a kid with a plastic gun shooting at someone. What exactly are we teaching the next generation?? At least here, they are plastic. I cant imagine living in one of the countries where kids are used a soldiers. Scary world.... I was goin to do a small series called "Kids with guns", but this one eclipsed the others. Hv a gd 1 ppl.

I bought toy hand guns for my son when he was small, well he was never small, only young.now I would refuse to allow any in the house as the problems with guns has gotten out of hand.with all the shootings in public schools and colleges.your capture is a sign of the times although

I played with toy guns when I was young. But my dad teach me the diff and he taught me to use a real gun. I never used a gun in anger at anyone. I think the diff with most people is they do not teach the youth the diff between the two. I thank my dad he took time and taught me.

I am very disturbed by this! What is it we are teaching? Children need to learn tolerance and peace, not playing soldiers. Are we not learning from this stupid war in Iraq and seeing a generation die? I know you are down in Australia and not as much as effected as the US, though you too have soldiers in harms way stationed in Iraq. Well, I have said enough. Have a great weekend of what is left of it and thank you for sharing. egmont

Is this art? No, but this is not important. It count, what it shows, and I don´t like, what it shows. In my gallery I have a picture that show children playing on top of a tank. I called it "party animals". I have had a big problem before: Show or not show? Im from Germany, a country, where the big leader Adolf Hitler gave orders and everybody, a whole generation, was proud to follow, and I know places in my beloved Berlin, were people were killed, when they would go from Berlin to Berlin..... No, I don´t want to see my friends children playing like this. I prefer other forms of communication, not through a gun.... Thanks for showing here, its not the clear blue sky and a beautiful landscape as other pics, but it is important
