Hi all. And thanks for comments on my last post. This is from a storm last night. I have never got a decent lightning shot before this one. A lot of guesswork here, guess where lightning will hit, guess what setting to try (it hit almost dead center of frame), I had no tripod so I hand held the camera leaning it on a fence post, camera at about waist height and guessed what angle to point to get lightning and mountains in shot. 35mm is my widest so I could not get a whole lot of sky. I think I tried f2.8 > 8 seconds >80 ISO. So anyway I waited until I thought lighting would hit then hit shutter (was pre focused) holding still for 8 seconds hoping for lightning within that time and frame and while not looking though the viewfinder, shooting from the hip. Postworked some grain out but left the color as is and cropped it some. Please leave comments. I'm to busy to return comments, but I love to hear from you all. I hope you likey God Bless
