The Ol' Heinneman Hotrod, I remember her well, She was our second favorite CloseAirSupport bird, the first being the A1.
I see it in it's last hurrah in Desert Storm. It was a bit more gray by then. I read a web page about a legendary Navy LSO who flew a Skyhawk in that conflict. I'm quite respectful of vets but I'm sure that web page was pure BS. "Pappy" Boyington's first name was Gregory like my oldest son.
