BIOHi all, I work as an illustrator at the Sydney Morning Herald
in Australia. born 1961.I always wanted to do 3d and 2 years ago, I played around with Adobe Dimensions and Strata, beforebuying Cinema. I really love it, and prefer it much more to 2d illustration. My 3d work now gets published regularly at the newspaper, but my favourite is the stuff I do for this site.My website:http://johnshakespeare.com.au/

Yeah, New Zealand has a better rep. lol! Cool illustration piece. :)
Methinks the Aussies are all over in American making millions in films? WINK. Superb art!!
lol, great work :)
Heh, just saw this very image in the paper. Cover of the Metro section in the Sydney Morning Herald on 27th April. I'm based in Newcastle at the moment and only occasionally buy the Sydney paper to remind me of the 20+ years I lived there.
Even the name 'wombat' makes me laugh, you Ausssies have such wonderful names for critters. Brilliant.
Great wombat indeed! Very nice and fun illustration :)
awesome image..lmao! I love those Aussies!!! Good people!! :D -chachi
Fun character! I really like the mix of 3D and your sketch!
Oh my,.........what a handsome looking fellow ! Well done.

wonderful figure, excellent work !
NICE ONE!
Nearly missed this one. Nice work.
Thanks heaps everyone!
Absolute classic John - love it!!!
I totally agree with you, it's not easy breaking into this industry...unless you know someone. The crap OZ pictures never cease to amaze me...all that wasted money and not a decent scriptwriter or script in sight. Love the fat-ass Wombat director, very appropriate ! ~Cheers~ :o)
Can't believe I didn't comment on this one - great style! Love the "drawn" background!
