Description
Finally I found the time for trying out TG2.
This is not meant to be very realistic, just testing some kind of asteroid belt. ;-)
Background is a self-made Photoshop image, assigned into TG2 as background with an default shader. Rest is pure Terragen.
Unfortunately it was not possible to make the planet texture look really sharp.

GREAT RING ... I always wondered how it woul look (such a ring) seen from a (solid) planet with that ring around it.. Can you make that ?

Good effort, although the "asteroidal ring" looks a bit too symmetrical in its "edge". Random smaller particles, down to pebble-size added to this would make the belt appear more realistic. This makes even saturns' rings look hazy until close imaging brings them into such fine detail. I applaud your effort however, and wish you continued success in your efforts towards realism here!
so nice of you to show us your ring!...dunno how you did this but it has the potential to being and excellent render, as for the blurry planet texture, was this procedural or a bitmap/image overlay? top marks from me!

Great render! I read the ring theory on planetside forum some weeks ago, btw i found it a bit too difficult to realize it especially with the concenctric rings, you achieve a great result! well done!
