Description

Taken on my Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro. Post in Photoshop. Another one from yesterday's playing around in my kitchen. Again this is water and food colouring, no colourisation or coloured lighting used. Thanks for taking a look. Enjoy! Rich http://album.cogia.net/index.htm

Very nice first attempt,Rich.I too, tried this recently. As far as color,I see a hint of blue.Perhaps if you used more food coloring and less water for it to fall into, you'd achieve more of this color.Lots of things create 'color' in these shots,i.e. the vessel you use and your background, they will affect the color as well.Good luck with your experimentation.I found it a lot of fun.-M :^)

thanks for the encouraging comments guys :) Just to clear something up here: The food colouring was in the water i dripped clear water into - hence the "maw" is tinged blue, and the droplet is clear.

What I like in you dropshots isn't so much your incredible shaped drops, but what you call the "maw". Fasinating..

Drop shots are my most favourite thing in photography. I love how each is unique and has a fluidity of their own, appearing alive on the page. Good work I think the subtle food colour did the trick!
