Description

A little more of the rainbow in this one. Thank you very much for your great reception of Red Flower. I shot that flower while I was shooting butterflies in the tropical butterfly exhibit. I don't know a hibiscus from a proboscis so I am glad that a few of you identified it. I still have more butterflies and flowers than I know what to do with, but I really should do something out in that garage Thanks again. I feel warm all over :-)

Keith, I am impressed by the drawing which you make starting from your stereotypes of plants. The feature is very fine. I am just able to make the difference between a pink and an orchis, and still, because in the orchises, my daughter who had begun her medical studies with pharmacy, had shown me flowers of the class of the undetectable orchises... for a neophyte. All your series, is very precieuse, and I adore the colors you are in my eyes a very large artist, and your engravings could be used for many soci of Horticulture! It is beautiful, serene, calms, and always coloured in the discion. A TRUE LUXURY that your gravures(Luxury, because I reason in French, while writing to you), of true jewels!!!

I must say that I really prefer the more colorful ones like this with a darker background. This is excellent Keith. I like the subtly multi-colored leaves that vary in tone from one side of the leaf to the other. And the swatches of different colors incorporated into the flowers themselves are a great touch. This has a nice painterly style. Well done.
