Description

I have never been to the Valley of Fire, so this peculiar rock I found amazing and beautiful. I loved the orange rock against the sky. I would appreciate any input. Thanks, Andres

Amazing rock formation and nice capture....but, the postwork on the sky (not sure whether a new sky was put in or the existing one darkened) could be done much better. It is especially noticeable where the rock edges meet the sky, mostly so on the inside of the elephant's trunk.

Thank you guys! Gradient you are right but it is the original sky, my problem was that when I converted fron Adobe 1998 color space to sRGB for the Web the colors desaturated quite a bit, I think that when I compensated plus the final sharpening and the JPEG compression I managed to introduce some halos and artifacts. Even in 16 bits you got to watch out!! :)
