when i was a kid we used to collect these cylindrical fossils and we called them "indian money". i found this particular one on a recent canoe trip. this piece is for my mom (bertha) for mothers day and dedicated to my ancestors (i'm part Creek indian, a tribe who lived in what is now florida, USA.) thanx and credit to my good friend linda sydnor who took the photo of an old weathered ceramic piece peace philsh

Interesting shapes and textures. Reminds me of the carvings on Mount Rushmore that I have seen pictures of, the colouring I think. Great picture.

Beautifully done. The color and blending is great. Like the fractals, size is and isn't an element... Indian money comes in different sizes from a fraction of an inch in diameter to just over one inch in diameter. You've taken it and made it look like a huge outcropping/bluff. The spiritual aspect of the image is also awesome... a theme frequently done, Native Americans as an integral part of the land, you have represented the concept admirably. I am also a small part Indian (TN Cherokee) and by luck and chance and good fortune grew up in SW Oklahoma with the Wichita Mts and the plains as my playground and spiritual center. Mt.Scott is my pivot point.
