Well, I have looked at them both and each one is excellent art in it's own way. I love your sculpture. The image of the person on horseback carved into the side with the words on top is a fantastic way to express this feeling or desire . Is this stone ? I cannot tell from the image. One great thing about this sculpture is that it is portable, so you can take it with you when you are running for shelter. Almost a transitional object. Very well done. Susan's image is also excellent. I dont see how you can compare the two. Both express well the concept of running for shelter. Excellent work !!!

It's a stone (flint, I think) that I found in my yard a year or so ago; the image I carved seemed inherent in it, so I penciled it in and titled it before I got back to the house. When I wrote my eponymous "poem," I was looking at this as I cogitated on the trap that had been set for me. (Which, for anyone who cares, remains un-sprung!)

The carving is amazing, and put together with the poem and LR's awesome render, it all makes an amazing trilogy! I am very very impressed by this! ... written in stone and carved in stone - and still I wonder, what do we flee?
