Description

Like Lazorman, this was another prize portrait. It's not as good as Lazorman I think, but the recipient seems happy, so I guess that's what matters. The legs proved to be a real challenge, as the character's limbs below the knee are energy constructs. I tried a ton of ways to to do it in Poser, but ended up just shading them bright green in the final renders so I could mask them easily for Photoshop and doing the effect in there. Credits:Hiro and Hiro Bodysuit and Shin Tokai set from DAZ, as well as free M3 texture. Bodysuit texture by me. Poser 5 render, oodles of post in Photoshop.

The energy streak, ripples, and after image are superb!! I love the "Crackling" kinetic feel to this!!

There's so much noise blurry yellow that I can't see what the picture is trying to show. The composition doesn't focus on the character but rather on the afterimages. If the lower legs are power constructs, wouldn't they leave different yellow shadows, if they leave anything at all?

I see what you mean VRLowKey. Something similar was mentioned on another board. I wish I had dome something different with the camera now, made the last figure more focus and used a less standard angle, but this image had been kicking my butt for days. As for the energy constructs, they were described to me as being made out of energy like fire and the referene pics that I got had them as very visible, glowy, and tended to alerternate between electrical and fiery. Tried electrical and was even less happy with the results. This is one to go back to later when I have a fresh perspective.
