Description

Here is the final version of my temple. The previous one had so many mistakes that I thought, I'd better start all over again. Hope you like it! Comments are always welcome...I've got much to learn ;-) greetz Genji

great render! (try to alternate or flip bump textures: there are visible repetitions =)

Yes, the textures are awesome! Really well done. Maybe the ends of the columns need a little more work on, right now it looks that there is a little gap. And how about a naked Vickie standing there with a sword?

Why not move the columns texture around a bit on each column so the all look a bit different? In reality they never look all the same.

The textures seem to be okay. The only crits I have so far are: the tops of the columns, the capitols appear to be of the Doric order, the first major order of the 3 primary orders, Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. Doric capitols were round as you have here, but smooth, not rough and pitted as you have rendered. Also, the upper pediment edges are too clean. Even newly hewn, unweathered stone, the edges would not be so sharp. Try chamfering, or filleting the edges a little. Remember, there are no perfect 90 degree angles anywhere in nature, manmade or otherwise, even on a new building.

you built quite nice doric columns here. the materiality is great. the proportion is nearly perfect. one thing is missing. the german word is entasis, it is some kind of swelling. this means, that the conic form is not straightly conic, it is a little bit "swollen". it is not much but noticable. the implementation should be easy with the bulge-object. the stairs are quite confusing, further FitArtistSF's critics about the capitols is corret. though still this image is a great improovement. keep it up!
