I'm not sure if I feel like this one has much improvement. I gave up on the background because I had looked at it for hours and couldn't come up with anything that looked decent which might cast a shadow like the one shown.
At any rate, please let me know what I could do better! Thanks!

I really like this illustration. But intentionally or not, Superman seems a little sinister. Other than that, it's top-notch.
Really cool drawing and coloring. I like the art style a lot. Since the artist didn't draw a background you are kind of limited. Maybe just a "colored rays" background. Don't make it too cheesy. If done right I think it would add to the image and not distract from it. I'm thinking rays like a sun or maybe just diagonal ones.
You could try something for the background like I did when I colored this pic before...it's in my gallery check it out! As far as things to improve...just try to use less saturated colors...I use to do this when I first started coloring and it was a hard habit to break,but I think I finally have (check out the difference between the two fantastic four pics in my gallery and you'll see what I mean)...more contrast between your darks and your lights would also make it pop a lil' more. overall a decent job and the only other advice I could give is practice ,practice,practice ...there is no substitute for experience! GOOD LUCK!!!!
Hey man, it's all good, the most you could have done was add a background of metropolis, or his insignia. It looks good, I should know, as many conventions as I worked at, man... yours would have caught a couple of eyes.

Classic superman pose, I really dig it. It really helps showcase your work with colors and shading, I think its all dead on and really brings the character to life. Definitely would've been cool with a background, but it's all good ;)
