Hey Guys this is what i tried to do with mental ray...Being an amatuer artist i would love to have some nice comments and any kind of help. The image has been done using 3ds max 7 with mental ray

Good...and a warm look..but seems too warm...looks u had played with ambience,too yellow...but like the lighting...well i dont work in mental ray...so for me its a good work as an amatuer..!!!

As an amateur its a great work, the image could be bigger, and the ground texture (dont know if it is an original from 3ds, i dont use it) could be scaled down.

the lighting lets the whole room come alive...im a lil confused with the flooring glare although tht is the only portion which makes the view look artistic......it looks so real......MARVELLOUS FEAT!!!

i dont think the lighting is the problem, man. Cos that looks great. I dont work with MR, but maybe you can up the sampling, this would detail the GI shadows a bit more... i think it needs some more detail. maybe add the slightest bumps. The floor could come alive with a small bump of the floor... not too much, but maybe 10%, the walls too. Maybe the background scene could reflect the warmth of this room.. cos outdoors looks cold and rainy... good job man, good luck.
