Description

This is actually the "Drowning Reaper" canvas turned upside-down - I kept the same direction of light. I chose to upload it after a local guy called Rob pointed out what he saw when viewing it this way. Bedsheet and wood with acrylic impasto medium and white acrylic impasto paint on 45x45cm canvas. Thank you for taking a look and your feedback is always much appreciated. I'm not going to say what Rob saw in these forms, although the title may be helpful. I'd be interested to hear what you see :-)

The mind certainly needs to find patterns - well for me, just below center, and coming out of the diagonal piece is a fish head, mouth open, it's right eye visible.

It looks great either way up, you can't say that about many art works!!

Another great piece of art ! I can see the rest of a shipwreck here, in between.

It's like finding faces in the fire. Or subliminal art. A game anyone can enjoy!

Keeps the mind rivetted to find forms and feelings. This is an intriguing piece of art. I love this kind of mental exercise.

Works even better for me this way Jim, it makes a deeper more evocative impression, I could look at this for ages & find all sorts of things but I keep coming back to a very sad face partially hidden at the bottom there!

I don't usually need to look for identifiable forms in abstracts. The feelings they suggest are more than enough. This is how one might feel after a long struggle: tired and tense, though calm already starts to settle in.

I had this image of a scarecrow in my head from your other post, now I see a fallen man, perhaps too much contemplation.
